Summary of Project — AEOP Internships & Fellowships
The Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) Internships & Fellowships program connects students and early-career researchers with hands-on STEM experiences at laboratories and research institutions across the country. Blake Learning Solutions partnered with AEOP I&F to develop a comprehensive learning and engagement ecosystem — a new LMS, professional development curriculum, website redesign, and updated branding — designed to support interns, fellows, mentors, laboratory administrators, parents, and alumni throughout their AEOP journey.
AEOP I&F serves a broad network of participants with different goals, responsibilities, and information needs. Prior to this effort, training resources, communications, and program information were spread across multiple systems and formats. The program needed to:
BLS designed and built a connected ecosystem — spanning a custom LMS, professional development curriculum, a redesigned website, and a refreshed brand — giving AEOP I&F participants and administrators a cohesive, modern foundation for engagement and growth.
BLS designed and launched the AEOP Learning Hub, a customized LMS built on TalentLMS. The Learning Hub provides a centralized location for training, resources, webinars, and professional development. We created customized learning pathways for each audience type, developed the site's structure and branding, integrated webinar registration and attendance tracking, and supported ongoing user management.
BLS developed a growing library of professional development programs — blended-learning masterclasses on STEM career development, personal branding, leadership, and research communication — designed to help participants build skills beyond their immediate research experiences.
BLS led a full redesign of the AEOP I&F website (aeopinternships-fellowships.org), creating a modernized, audience-specific experience with clear navigation, updated content, and improved pathways for prospective applicants.
BLS provided brand strategy and design support to help AEOP I&F present a more cohesive, competitive identity across digital and print materials.
