We were set up on a blind date in 2008, despite living on opposite sides of the country: Sarah was living in Washington, D.C. and KC was living in Los Angeles. We married after dating long-distance for a year. Today, we live in Alexandria, Virginia with our four children and assorted pets.
We founded BLS in 2012 when professional opportunities led us to collaborate on a federal training project that combined instructional design, storytelling, and high-quality media production. What started as a single collaboration quickly revealed how naturally our backgrounds complemented one another and became the foundation for the company we continue to build today.
