Repositioning a defense contractor for the next generation of growth — modernizing a brand that no longer reflected the sophistication, scale, and quality of the work being performed.
Summary of Project
For more than 20 years, Patriot built a strong reputation delivering mission-critical support services to the Department of Defense. While the company had earned the trust of its customers, its brand and digital presence no longer reflected the sophistication, scale, and quality of the work being performed. Patriot partnered with Blake Learning Solutions to modernize its brand and develop a new website — resulting in a cohesive digital experience that aligned their public presence with the excellence of their work.
Like many successful government contractors, Patriot had organically grown over time. Its capabilities expanded, its customer base matured, and its impact increased. However, its branding did not evolve at the same pace.
Key challenges included:
Patriot needed more than a new logo or website. It needed a modern brand strategy that would communicate who the company is, what it stands for, and why customers choose to work with them.
The project honored the values and reputation that had driven the company's success while building a brand platform ready for where Patriot wants to go next.
The project began with stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, and a review of Patriot's existing communications. Through this discovery process, we identified the themes that consistently defined Patriot's success: trust, service, expertise, and mission focus. These insights became the foundation for a refreshed brand position centered on Patriot's role as a trusted partner helping defense organizations accomplish critical missions — while supporting military veterans and their families.
We modernized Patriot's visual identity while preserving the credibility and heritage associated with the brand. The result was a more professional and contemporary visual system that could be applied consistently across all communications.
The new website was designed to serve multiple audiences — government customers, teaming partners, and prospective employees. Every page was developed to reinforce Patriot's value proposition while making information easier to find and understand.
To ensure consistency beyond the website, the project included the development of supporting brand materials and communication tools for use across proposals, presentations, recruiting efforts, and business development activities — providing Patriot with a scalable foundation for future growth and outreach.
